Brunch is our favorite meal of the day. Each place we travel, we search for places that offer a great brunch in between breakfast and lunch. If we cannot find a place, then we hire a chef to create our favorite brunch dishes. Why do we enjoy breakfast so much? Well, brunch does not interrupt our leisure lifestyle. We do not have to awake at the crack of dawn while vacationing just to get a good breakfast in our stomachs that we are not ready to truly enjoy. Most importantly, brunch combines breakfast and lunch together. Salmon and crepes and fruit… yum. So where do you go to enjoy a good brunch?
You could head off to Bonnie Ruth’s Cafe Trottoir Et Patisserie at The Shops at Starwood in Frisco for a delicious brunch spread. If you enjoy made to order omelette, mimosas, fruit crepes and more for brunch, then you must try Bonnie Ruth’s on your next trip to North Dallas. Brunch is served buffet style or off-menu each Sunday from 10am – 2pm for only $14.95 for adults, $9.95 for kids and Free for little ones 2 and under.
When you are in San Diego next time, you must brunch at Le Fountainebleu at the Westlake Plaza Hotel. Like Bonnie Ruth’s the cuisine is French only this time champagne is included as compared to the extra cost for Mimosa’s at Bonnie Ruth’s. At a cost of $42 per person served 10a – 2p, Le Fountainebleu offers not only a crepe and omelette station but a carving station that includes roasted prime rib, Colorado Leg of Lamb and Baked Salmon. The offerings are simply scrumptious.
The Kentucky Derby takes place each May and it would not be a weekend if we did not head off to Selena’s Restaurant for a Sunday Brunch from 10:30a – 2:30p. Selena’s offers fresh beignets, Eggs Benedict and $2 Mimosas and $4 Absolute Bloody Mary specials. There are several other places we frequent during our stay in Louisville for the Derby if you are seeking options just let us know. We are more than happy to give a referral.
Our favorite place to stay in the San Diego area is Rancho Santa Fe. Typically we stay in one of the villas at the Rancho Santa Fe Resort and Spa that lends itself to privacy, a private pool and a chef if we so choose. However, the chef is not necessary all the time because the resort offers a splendid Sunday Brunch from 11a – 2:30p.
Now that we have shared some of our favorites, why don’t you share some of yours in the comments below.
