If you have a sweet tooth and crave a great dessert to follow a beautiful meal, then Hatzis is the place for you if you are in the northern city of Thessaloniki. Although the main menu itself is wonderful in its own right, it is in the puddings where Hatzis really earns its reputation. With an eclectic mix of pastries, creams, nuts, syrups, and even porridge, you are always tempted to order more than one, and the old saying about “eyes being bigger than tummy” certainly rings true here!

Harmony, Mylopotas, Ios

Our first island recommendation is this lively yet relaxing Mexican restaurant in Ios. If you want an indication of how unique it is, how many restaurants have you been to where you are served your meal in a deckchair or hammock? In keeping with the tourist values of the resort, it is an excellent fun place to take the kids, too.

Waves on the Rock, Chania, Crete

When it comes to seafood there is perhaps no better restaurant in Europe, let alone Greece. This beautiful restaurant is well hidden and very well worth discovering if you travel to Crete. Run by local fishermen, you can literally watch a fish come off of the boat and see it on your plate a half hour later. There are many great seafood restaurants in Chania, however this one leads the way.

Indigo, Rhodes Old Town

Granted, this is a fast food restaurant, but you are not served the junk food you would normally expect to see in places such as this. Instead, you experience beautiful Greek salads, perfectly cooked chicken, and dressings that will simply blow your mind. A subtle as well as convenient way to eat, Indigo is a brilliant food outlet that should definitely be tried.
